Area data cannot inspect the room.
This plan prepares the check. Continue with the mobile tools needed to review nearby devices and physical clues after you arrive.
Context is not a prediction.
Police-recorded incidents describe reports in an area and reporting period. They do not measure the safety of a particular hotel, account for visitor volume, or predict what will happen during a stay.
The room priority is calculated only from the observations you select. It does not use reviews, rumors, or an undisclosed hotel rating.
Hotel safety check FAQ
Can this tool tell me whether a hotel is safe?
No. It organizes public area context and the details you provide. It does not rate a hotel, predict crime, or certify that a room is safe.
Does the area data show hidden camera incidents?
No. UK area data contains categories published by police.uk. It is separate from the room privacy questionnaire and cannot indicate whether a camera is present inside a property.
Why is postcode crime data currently limited to the UK?
There is no consistent global street-level crime API. The tool only presents nearby incident data where a suitable public source and clear coverage notes are available.
Do you store my hotel or postcode?
The page does not ask for a hotel name. If supplied, a UK postcode is sent to the lookup endpoint and its public area response may be cached for up to one day. It is not added to the site analytics record.
